Chris Young
Chris is a co-owner of EZ-Gliders and the owner of Chris Young Carpentry. Chris has been a carpenter for 30 years. After graduating from Ankeny High School, he went into the construction trade and started out framing houses and townhomes. Looking for a challenge, Chris moved on to the detailed skills of new construction trim work, which gave him the satisfaction of seeing the finished product.
As he expanded his collection of carpentry knowledge, Chris began building a referral base of customers. Their demands grew so quickly that he started his own company – Chris Young Carpentry. His carpentry company expanded to remodeling and currently specializes in storm doors, entry doors, and window replacements. Chris also enjoys building custom decks and finishing basements.
Chris started installing EZ-Gliders for the company’s previous owner. When the opportunity to purchase EZ-Gliders presented itself, Chris and Dave purchased the business together. They have a shop where they custom build all of the EZ-glider boxes and they complete all of the in-home installations themselves. They enjoy making your cabinet space useful to you and look forward to showing you what they can do in your home!

Dave Young
Dave Young is a co-owner of EZ-gliders and the owner of Young Construction Company. After completing the building trades program at DMACC and making the President’s List in 1987, he went on to residential framing and trim. In 1996, he started Young Construction Company where he employed a crew of six carpenters.
About five years ago, Dave went from new construction to remodeling and has completed a wide variety of different remodeling projects, including three and four season rooms, basement finishes, kitchen remodels, siding and window replacements, new and refurbished decks, as well as a various other projects.
Recently Dave and his brother Chris acquired the EZ-Gliders business. They have a shop where they custom build all of the EZ-Glider boxes and they complete all of the in-home installations themselves. They enjoy making your cabinet space useful to you and look forward to showing you what they can do in your home!
